The map

Each server has a map of its world in the panel, open to everyone who plays there.

  • The world as it is. For Valheim, the ground players have explored, and the rest under fog. For Minecraft, the world drawn from its own files, with ground players change appearing as they play.
  • Everyone playing, moving as they move, with their faces. Players who travel together are drawn as a group.
  • Pins the group shares: place one with a right-click, pick an icon, add notes. Operators can drag them.
  • Last seen: where each player was when they last left.
  • Places: for Valheim, the world’s own landmarks as players find them; for Minecraft, the world spawn.

The layers button turns each kind on and off. Your choice is kept in your browser.

  • Follow someone (or yourself) to keep the map on them as they move.
  • Measure distances between points.
  • A grid, and the coordinates under the pointer.
  • Minecraft’s dimensions (the Overworld, the Nether and the End) each have their own map. Switch between them with the menu at the foot of the map.
  • Routes: plan the way between two points, on foot or by boat, and send it to your game’s compass.
  • Guide: places tracked on your compass, and those operators put on everyone’s.
  • Coordinates and distances are the game’s own: x and z, in blocks.
  • The pointer names the biome and height under it.
  • Hosts choose the map’s colors in Configure → Map: biome tints, or the game’s own map colors.
